I would say that yes it can most definetly effect your warranty IF wires are cut to install it. Otherwise I'd say no. Ya know, Toyota has a add on remote start that is installed by a Toyota dealer and the warranty will not be efffected.
I too have a 2006 rav and I will do the first oil chnage at around the 2000 mile mark.
