I have a 96 Tacoma with a door speaker that is rattling. Can I just pop off the speaker cover (it doesn't seem to want to come off) or do I need to remove the door panel? If so, how do I do that?

for door speakers you almost always have to take off the door panel. its really easy, usually just a few screws and clips. if you have manual windows you need a special tool to get them off but its still really easy to do.

Any time I have to remove parts of something as expensive as my car, I tend to get nervous. I had a rattle myself and just lived with it until I got my new car. If I was going to do anything, I would probably take it to my local mechanic and let him walk me through it or do it himself.
