I have an 87Turbo and noticed a great amount of
oil leaking from the crankshaft area and almost zero
iol pressure. I am a real dummy when it comes to
fixing cars but I thought I would give it a shot. I took
took out the radiator and removed all the belts and
got very frustrated when it came time to remove the
crankshaft pulley bolt, any suggestions? It does loosen
counter clockwise, right?
thanks

that bolt is VERY tight.yes it removes counter
clockwise.put your breaker bar on it,rest that against the
frame rails,bump thr starter.that's the best way,as
even those of us with air sometimes still can't get
enough juice to break that thing loose.hope this
helps.
shawn

crank bolt but i was wondering what you meant by bump
the starter? and which frame rail should the breaker
bar be on the passanger or driver?
thanks jay

Up against pass lower frame rail.bump the key, bump the starter??just make sure
you unplug the igniter on drivers inner fender.dont want to start it,just use
starter to turn engine.
