I want to replace the stereo with a new one with AUX input but I don't know how to get the current one out. Can anyone link me to a guide?

This is my first time doing anything to a car. I've previously owned a 1994 Buick Park Avenue and a 1994 Ford Explorer, neither of which made me feel like doing anything to. But I really want to make this baby my own. So I'd love the help guys

Btw, the car is a 2004 Celica GT

Andy

*This information is for UK/JDM models, but I'm sure the USA spec is similar

The panel surrounding the stereo should just pull out (99% of the toyotas are clipped in, BUT beware of any hidden screws).

The actual stereo is bolted to brackets which fit onto the dash. Any new stereo (DIN) will fit to the brackets, I have a feeling they are fairly universal across the toyota range, so you could possibly pick up a double DIN stereo and brackets from another model [although like I said, even the single DIN systems tend to have double DIN brackets!].

Standard stereo might not feature an ISO connector, but the harness is dirt cheap.

I am more than happy to provide a diagram to help you, If anyone knows how to upload images? Or is it remote hosting only?
