Hi, I have a 1993 Toyota Previa with 248,000 miles. Last week it started idling rough when I would first start the engine, after only 10 seconds the engine runs fine. This only happens when the engine is cold. The Toyota Dealership wants to put it on the computer to find out what the problem is. If anyone could help with this problem I really would appreciate it. I have the same problem with my 1993 Toyota 4x4 pickup. When starting cold it runs real rough like it has a radical cam in it and barely stays running then after about 1 minute the idling is fine and runs normal.

Had the same problem on my 94 Previa. My dealer told me to run some Shell Premium fuel. After two tankfuls, the problem went away.

I also have this problem, I will try the petrol thing but think it may be something to do with the auto choke, as after a few seconds mine kicks in and revs the engine for a while to warm it up, maybe it isnt starting up soon enough.
