1999 Avalon XLE :
My front and rear running lights, license plate light, and gauge lights on the dash will not go out when I shut the engine off. I have had no previous problem with the electrical system or the remote entry on the car.

I have tried to disconnect the battery to reset the system, but this did not work. The light switch is set in the "off" position.

Would this be in a relay? the ignition switch? in the remote entry system? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I had that problem with my 97 Avalon. All I did was replace the driver door sensor.
