Hi I’m new to the forum. I have an 05 Tacoma 4x4 TRD v6 6 speed manual. Does any one know where the ac intake is located. I want to put a temporary filter or something on it. Last year I took my truck to Pismo it’s a monster out there. In an effort to keep sand out of the cab I kept the windows up and limited getting in and out. For about 3 months I was getting sand out of my ac vents every time I would turn it on and for a few months after that if I drove on rough fire roads. I love it out in the dunes so not going isn’t an option. Any ideas or help is appreciated.

I'm unsure in the '05's but I think it should be where the cowl is, I mean where the windshield comes in contact near the hood. Not sure how you could put a filter in there though.

I found the ac intake under the black plastic cowl piece on the passenger side. I took a piece of nylons and duct taped it around there, it worked great for the weekend, any longer I don’t think it would have held. Thanks for your help.
