I know this is too soon to ask since I just had a 35,000 miles service done on my car.

But the way I drive, I probably need service soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

When I took the car in for service, I took it to Toyota in Goleta (Santa Barbara) but when I show up early in the morning (first one there), they told me that I had to make an apointment to have my car service there.

They did say that I can leave the car there and if they have time, they will do it for me.

So I took there early in the morning only to find out that I will be the last person they will do?!?! So I decided to take off and go to Toyota in Ventura.

After having my car service in Ventura, I feel they charge too much for a 35,000 mile service. They try to do a upsale with me and get me to pay more for few extra stuff like oil additives, fuel additive, etc. but I said no to it.

They even expect me to pay them extra for labor to just change the cabin filter in my car. I decided to do it myself. It turns out to be very easy.

I know having a car service at a dealership is always more expensive but since it is still under warrenty, I feel more comfortable having the car serviced at the dealership.

So my question is, which one do you recommend me to go to next? If you had your car service at one or more of the places I just mention, how was it? Should I give Toyota in Goleta another try but this time make an appointment with them? Is Toyota in Oxnard any good? Am I wrong what I said about Toyota in Ventura?

Thanks for any help you can give to me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think I'd check around with other Toyota owners and ask about their recommendations insofar as dealers.
There are good ones and bad ones, but the key thing to remember is that most dealerships make far more money on their service departments than they do on new car sales.

I think appointments are the rule pretty much at every dealership, and I for one, appreciate having an appointment. But ask around for stories and who people like ..form a relationship and stick with the dealer you pick.
