Sort of. If you suck too much sea foam into the intake, you will get liquid in the cylinder. Liquid does not compress and this will put a large amount of stress on the piston, rod, and crank. If you just put a little bit in, then the SeaFoam will only be in the engine for half a second and mostly in vapor form. So is it going to do anything in half a second? Nope.
If you want to clean something, take it off and clean it. Anything next to that, is a waste of money. I have the same engine as yours with 400k on it. Still gets better then EPA MPG. At 300k I took the injectors out and had them professionally cleaned for $25 each. Even with 300k on them, they were in good shape before the cleaning, and like new after. No injector cleaner needed and I know it works.
