My wife's 2001 Sienna LE has a problem with the passenger electric sliding door. When the door is actuated via the keyfob or internal button, I hear the relay clicking, but the motor never comes on. The motor does not work when the handle is lifted either.

Any insight on how to repair would be appreciated.

It sounds like an electrical problem. you probably need to go to a mechanic for it.

I would have to say that the clicking sound is most likely a sign of a bad motor. Not cheap, and not easy to repair most times.

I think the sound is the relay that works the door motor.
