"I could believe that it was a Ford Focus except that the nose looked too short and sloped and that the thing definitely had a rear spoiler. Didn't get to notice if it was right or left-hand steering.

Sure was pretty tho!"

where'd you see this one, Bill? I haven't seen any on the road here yet (Burlington County), but as I was driving down Rte 130 the other day, I'm almost POSITIVE I saw one on the lot at Liberty Toyota. They were supposed to email me when they came in so I could go take a look, but hubby wouldn't stop.

He's concerned about buying a 1st generation because we can take our current IC cars right to the local mechanic we've used for 30 years, but this one would have to go back to the dealer for service. I'm not nearly as concerned about that as I am about the 90K + miles that are on my '95 Mazda.

Plus I think it looks cool. I do like the blue, though. So I'm hoping I can convince hubby by next year when GPS, Cruise & blue are available. <G>

Beth

There is a "local" Toyota dealer but I wouldn't buy coffee from them and besides, they're more interested in selling Hummers at $100k each.

Gee... Silver Prius sighted in Valencia, CA tonight (8/22) in Barnes & Noble parking lot. Looked cool. Drove zippy. My boys were very excited. Spotted it before I did. Don't think it was the demo model since it didn't have plates. Some lucky guy.... October isn't that far away, is it?

I live in Valencia, CA. myself and have seen three myself. I myself have one on order along with a Honda Insight in my possession. I love Hybrids. The Insight is awesome driving every day to Pasadena and back.

Hey Ninobur, let's meet sometime at Valencia Town Center or Barnes sometime. Its cool too have someone in the same neck of the woods. :)

-Rajah

Once we got to Salem Rd he was fair game, but then it was too far to walk back <BG> I'll just have to drive over there by myself one of these afternoons after work.

"My "halucination" occurred on Rte 202 in Hunderton cty. between Flemington and Somerville."

I was just up there last weekend on my way back from the Water Gap. Hmmm. May have to spend the rest of the nice weekends up there, to increase my odds of a sighting! ;) Maybe I can convince hubby we need to spend a few hours a day at the outlets???

"Gee... Grew up in Lumberton, went to RVRHS with Franco. Small world..."

Yes it is. :) Of course, it doesn't look anything like it DID when you were here anymore!! We drive through Lumberton & Mt. Laurel & remember farms & orchards. Now it's all condos.

Beth
