hey guys umm just got a little problem with my car I was curious if anyone could help me out here, I own a 1990 model toyota seca 1.6 i bought it off my mate a few weeks ago, i've been in the car many many times before its never had any problems untill now, most the time it runs fine but it randomly decides to break down? i went for a 20 minute drive to the shops an it was fine, came back out an hour later and started the car and the whole thing turned off right away, i waited about 5 minutes and it started again and i drove for about 10 seconds and again it broke down, i had to do that all the way home it took me 2 hours to get home lol, so if anyone knows what the problem could be here then please let me know, sometimes it doesnt break down but other times it constantly breaks down and i have no idea why, my mate suggested that it could be something to do with the engine coils, any advice here would be very appreciated, thanks guys :).

Hi,

I agree to the suggestion of your pal to replace the ignition coil. Since it is a 1990 model, it still has an ignition coil, contact point and condenser. Replace the contact point and condenser as well. The behaviour of the car seems that there is no electricity to fire the spark plugs.
