the component located directly below my ac compressor and run of the same belt is the smog pump on my 88 22r, correct? and if so can i remove it? i am trying to get to my timing chain and i already pulled my dead ac compressor, im pretty sure the smog pump is no longer functioning. and can i just plug the hose coming from the manifold?
