i JUST RECIEVED THIS CAR 82 SUPRA HATCH BACK FROM A FRIEND AND THAT IS ALL i WAS TOLD IS THAT AFTER JUMP STARTING IT SMOKEKE CAME OUT FROM THE FUSE BOXAND SHE NEVER STARTED AGAIN. I CHECKED ALL FUSES THEY ARE OK WHERE TO GO NEXT ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Please clarify, does the engine turn over at all and just doesn't catch ? Or is it dead as a coffin-nail and doesn't even turn over.

Dead dead dead no power at all to the system This "jump start I have discovered was taken off of a lowrider aux battery systemfor the hydraulics 12 batteries hooked together he just hooked the +/- right to the car tried to turn it over and poof nothing else

Do you know if your alternator has failed? You should also check if its something wrong with your timing belt it might be broken. Is your car making any funny sounds?

He might have melted some wires, I might be wrong but what it sounds like he did is swaped the jumper cables. As in he hooked them up right on one vehicle but didn't hook them up right on the other vehicle. Is the battery still good? if so then something might be fried. I did that to one of my cars before not thinking but I was able to stop it before it went too far and melted stuff. good luck
