Someone apparently needed an antenna in a hurry and decided to borrow mine. I must have driven off before they could return it.
Ok, so they snapped it off.
The remaining base of it is below the threshold so I can't get a grip on it to unscrew it. It's a standard antenna, not power.
My mechanic recommended I use a screw remover to get the base out, but when I went to buy one the clerk at the hardware store said it most likely has a nut at the base attaching it, so I'd need to remove the whole unit first.
I've Google'd the bejeesus out of this and can't find out what to do.
Any ideas for a not-so mechanically inclined Celica owner?
Much appreciated.
(Oh yeah, it's a 2000 Celica GTS)
