Does anyone know the performance of this car in snow? The light weight (2700lbs) gave rise to some concerns.

Thanks.
Max

I don't know how it will do on snow but I know it didn't do well on slippery, slightly muddy grass. We were spinning and backing and spinning and backing several times at the local fairground.

Mike,
Others have asked your question as well. There is a reviewer who drove the Japanese version in Nebraska during the winter at:

http://www.evworld.com/testdrives/xmasprius.html

Hope this helps.

Richard Spitz

Yeah, I had a blazer and it ploughed through snowbanks my PRIUS wouldn't have a hope of going thru....maybe it could go 'under' instead. :)

I was just EXTREMELY surprised at how difficult it was to get into the parking spot, having to take several attempts to get any forward momentum on slick, slightly muddy grass. NOT EVEN RUTS.

A good set of winter tires (4) can't hurt. I think they would really enhance performance in snow.
