Hey Rich!
You are definatly goin' all out on your sound system. That puppy is gonna thump some ass! I did the same thing with the power cable. The O line runs directly from the battery to the amp, via a noise reducer, (I insatalled the amp in the right rear cubby hole) and T's off to power the stereo and the EQ. I'm lookin' to upgrade the amp to a 200w (bridged-mono) since I'm only runnin' one 12" sub.
I wish I had learned about the Permatech before having my bed liner installed. I would have gone that route myself. Can't wait to check out your pics after it's all set up...
~Greg~

How are your boxes angled your subs? I have two spl 10's in a sealed box that are not angled and sound best when fired into the back of my ext-cab. I have heard of a design where the subs fire into the floor and there is supposed to be a significant db increase.

My box is angled. I'm not sure how I'm going to place the box in the extended cab. I'm just going to turn the box both ways and see what sounds best. Eventually, I'm going to have a custom box done so I can save space and not have a big box just sitting there behind my seats.

Rich

Hey Guys!
I have my 12" (single) in a bandpass box, so it's totally enclosed in the box. I've got the plexiglass facing straight up with the blow ports hitting the back of the seats. Basically the box is laying on it's back. It does take up most of the extended cab space, but my truck is just that...a truck. The extended cab is used mostly for hauling tools rather then passengers. Having this type of box has given me the more deep bass (w/good thump) then having an 'open speaker'...in my taste for bass anyway.
I understand there is a company out there, somewhere, that makes a custom box designed to fit our trucks. Molded to fit like a piece of a puzzle and colored to match interior. I think I ran acrossed it going through Crutchfield's online catalog. Didn't purchase it myself, because I have to hear how it sounds first.
~Greg~

Those are the MTX thunderforms. The amps are built into the box so you don't have to take up anymore room with an amp. The box is sealed, not ported or bandpass. These boxes are best used for trucks with regular cabs, because you can't really put anything behind the seats. I've only heard good things about these boxes. They make them for the Camaro too. The Camaro boxes sit towards the back of the trunk and the subs face up.

Rich
