I'm getting the car serviced soon and I'm wondering what bits to put in it. I put Bosch Super 4 spark plugs in my old BMW and they totally transformed it, if there's an equivalent for the MR2 I'd probably go with them. I believe K&N air filters have quite a good reputation too. I'm not looking for massive power gains, just stuff that'll make a small difference on an old car with 110K on the clock. If anyone's got any suggestions I'd be grateful.

Cheers
Steve

B"H My dealer told me the plugs don't have to be replaced when I brought it in for the 75,000 mile service. They claim they "cleaned" them as part of the normal tuneup. I don't even know where the dang things are on the engine...are they the ones on top of the block, or are they hidden somewhere down below? I didn't see any sparkplug wires nor any distributor cap. Or am I just showing my age?...Bill H.

My '01 Prius maintenance log book says the change of spark plugs at 60,000 mi. is required to maintain the low emissions certification, or something like that. So, our Genie at 137,000 miles is on her 3rd set of spark plugs. I hope we weren't taken for a ride--but we'll never know since Maine doesn't measure emissions. --Eric Metzler in Enfield, Maine
