I have to check the speaker in the passenger rear door for a noise. Can I just pull off the speaker grill or do I have to take the door panel off ? If the panel has to be off how do I do it?

Anyone have any good ideas for upgrading the subwoofer? It sounds great but doesnt have as low a frequency response as I want.
I dont want a louder subwoofer just one that will pick up more of the lows.

Thx,
Sean

I've a set of Boss 8 inchers in but had to cut the plastic cage at the back of the speaker enclosure to get them in, haven't a clue what depth they are though. Best to take the door panel off and measure your clearence with the window fully down

Cut holes in your parcel shelf, reinforce with plywood, and put them in there. You can then cover them with thin mesh cloth to hide them without spoiling the sound. I've a set of Boss 8 inchers in but had to cut the plastic cage at the back of the speaker enclosure to get them in, haven't a clue what depth they are though. its subs im talkin about. a sub is ineffective without a box or enclosure so twould be a waste of time. the door cards i have come complete with reinforced enclosure so thats where i plan to put em and save the boot for the big subs. i just need to find a pair that are shallow enough to fit in the provided space. >
