Hello! I'm a newbie here, and do not yet have a Rav4, but we are seriously looking. We intend to tow a small Aliner camping trailer (about 1200 lbs) and are looking at the V6 with tow prep package. Any thoughts on whether the stiffer suspension of the Sport model would make for better or worse towing? I'm concerned about how much the rear may sag. 1200 lbs isn't that much, but I've heard that the Ravs do tend to sag. Also if we ever upgrade to the 1700 lb model, I want to make sure we don't have any unpleasant surprises.

Thanks,
--Dan

If you invest in a stabilizer kit for your trailer and your hitch you won't have any sag at all unless you dial sag in. I've seen people experiment with them just for the fun of if. You can actually lift the rear wheels of the tow vehicle right off the ground with enough adjustment on the stabilizer. There are many advantages to a stabilizer hitch. Google it and put you mind at ease about sag.
