I have a 1988 ST171 Corona with a 3S-FE (not sure on trans type. is auto though)
i was being a supid yound boy 'as we do' and now my trans is being dodgy as nuts.
at first it was trying to go both forwards and reverse... i played round with it for a while and it now works and goes into the correct gear but now when i take of it makes a massive "CLUNK" and the whole engine twists.

I have recently replaced rear and right hand engine mounts. and still need to do front but im sure that wont have much to do with it.

not sure weather it just needs a service or weather i should just get a second hand trans and drop it in there.

any knowledge will be great.
