I am looking to get an '07 Tacoma, but I can't decide between getting steel or alloy wheels. A dealer told me that steel wheels won't rust, but I think alloy wheels can get pits and rust from brake dust. I have read about some clear coats that can be applied to alloy wheels to prevent pitting and such, but I am not sure if it works too well. I want to buy a truck that will last me for years to come, and I am very meticulous when it comes to my truck's appearance. I want to keep it looking sharp for years to come and keep it as blemish free as possible. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
