Hi everybody, I can't find a steering damper for my 94 pickup. It's a 4 cylinder, and the steering dampers are readily available for the 4wd, but not 2wd. best

The steering system on the 4WD is basically the same as the 2WD, except a little beefier.
Are you sure one for a 4WD won't work?

Oh yeah. It's not the cylinder itself, but the setup. The 4wd has a through bolt setup on both ends, and the 2wd has a threaded-rod end like the front shocks, and a ball-joint with a threaded-rod coming of it perpendicularly on the other end. I tried a moog setup with a thread-rod end and a through bolt setup (instead of the ball joint) with no success...

im having the same problem with my 88, the computer at advanced auto says the thru-bolt version supercedes the ball joint one, but i dont see how that can work. you wouldnt have a straight bolted joint on your wheel ball joints. what the hell.
