It's an odd static noise coming from the stereo. The pitch rises when I accelerate. What does this mean? Does anyone know if it is a stereo kit that can fix static.

Most likely interference from the ignition system. I just started getting it after the went in for the latest recall.
Which is the 5th time in 2 years, this time they actually test drove the car like I asked.
