Hi, I 'm new here and I have an 04 Corolla. Well, here's my problem: I lost one of my spare key somewhere in my brother's neighborhood ( where I hang out alot!) and now I am paranoid that someone might have found it. I am thinking about changing all the exterior locks on my car but I know that the Stealership will charge me an arm and a leg for it. I was wondering if I am able to change the driver/passenger/trunk lock cylinders and keep my old key only for the ignition? Is that even possible to go that route? Would I even be able to find new door lock cylinders that comes with a new key somewhere else other then the dealer?? Also, is there an DIY for swapping out the door locks? Thank you in advance for your help, because right now I'm afraid to park my car on his block, which is a bad neighborhood btw, until I get this problem fixed.
