i have a 82 supra ptype, and it has a celica hatch on it, it is no the original hatch and i think it leaks. but anyways i want to put a 85 style hatch on it, the one with the fin on the bottom too and says SUPRA on it not "celica" if anyone out there knows if it can be done please let me know. plus if you have any advice on stopping condensation that would be cool.

Check out CelicaSupra.com for a lot of info on mods and repair.  There's a link at the bottom of my web page.   Also, the '85's have a rear defroster on the inside of the hatch glass.  Not sure if the 82's had that tho.   If you mean leaking water into the wheel well area (under the cargo area) often it's from around the taillights.  Try taping the open area and see if that does the trick.  If so you can do a more permanent cure (silicone).  Some info in the archives of what others have done.   Hope this Helps,

dude....pull one of the plugs under the spare to drain the h2o, and maybe another just below the passenger side of the car.  Then toss the hatch in shitter and let's get some fiberglass ones made.
