hi guys and girls.
just need some help with choosing a tow car.
i started drifting this year (in an ae86 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) ) and now need a tow car. ive decided on a 4runner or 'hilux surf', as there called here, due to my budget, and toyota's being the most reliable.
it needs to be able to pull up to 2000kg, depending on the weight of the trailer i find. it also needs to pull this up a nasty steep hill a few times a year.
which of the engine packages will be up for the job. we have 2.4l turbo diesel, 3l diesel, and 3l turbo diesel.
i can only afford to buy between 1993 to 1998, maybe up to 2000.i dont want ot buy to old.
any help, opinion, expiriance would be much appreciated. thanks.

If it were me, I would go with a 4runner. My old roomate in college used to use his for similiar purposes and it was a monster, lol!

was that with the v6 motor, and if so any mods to help with the pull.
