TRD no longer makes the supercharger for 1999 Avalon or Camry engine. Has anyone had first hand experience with any turbo or super c. setups for this car model? I would be running a low boost with hopefully a well cooled charger.
With the stock torque of motor, even a 50 h.p. rated gain I would assume would greatly improve power.
This stock engine still impresses me. Sometimes it feels like it wants to tear up the pavement lol. Other times it seems lacking in some ways. It seems a supercharger would make it super torky or a turbo would suit it better to balance it.
Let me know what you think. Any advice would be much appreciated.

( I heard a Y pipe for exhaust was only decent basic mod for this year without spending several thousand on a street port and boring cylinders )
Would those car computer chips do much for power?

It looks like the Toy ECU's can't be fooled. So, let go of the chip thing. I just did.

If you are serious about any boosting project. Start looking for a more performance oriented site
and you'll find advice and some parts in classifieds. Used stuff will make more $ense on our 1st Gens.
