Hi,

I was hopeing someone might help me. I have a 91 Mr2 turbo that i'm looking to trade in. I have my eye on a 97 Supra with 22,000 miles on it. It's black with the tan leather and sport roof. I live about 20 miles from chicago and I was wondering how does the non turbo supra drive in the winter? I had a 300zx 90 which was a death trap. I never had a problem in the winter when it snowed, even made it to western illinois(246 miles got caught in it 3 hour and 30 min trip turn to be almost 9 hours) when we had a big snow storm in 97. I really don't drive in the winter, but there has been times, when i did and it snowed.

Also I'm thinking about leaseing it, does anybody know what the residual value would be for a 97 non turbo, sport roof, auto, and with leather? The dealer is asking 25,000, what would be a good price to pay for a 97?

Thanks for any help,
Marc

I dont know about the 97, but the consensus seems to be BUY SOME DAMN GOOD SNOW TIRES and you wont die... I guess the mkIIIs are alright, I dont know about the mkIVs... but may I ask about your mr2, how does it do in winter? right now Im looking at either a 87.5-92 supra or 90-95 mr2, since both have similiar qmiles and 0-60s... but this car will be driven at winter (I live in se wisconsin =P)... I also have a hooked up 93 corolla (hence my name) that loves the snow, but, duh, its front wheel drive :)

later people-
Daron
