Has anyone here ever tried to drive a supra in the snow? I'm thinking about gettin one but i can't afford 2 cars. Now I have driven RWD cars in the snow before, and with 3500lbs traction shouldn't be too much of a problem... but if you have any experiece with driving these cars in the snow could you let me know. Thanx

I drive my Supra yearround here in Toronto. We get our fair share of snow, plus I love to go skiing. It is a GREAT snow car! It handles predictably, grips the road, is controllable in a skid/slide, and is a lot of fun. My words of advice " Get yourself some damn good snow tires or you'll kill yourself!!". My Pirellis are fantastic, but expensive(205/55R16). Nokian make an exellent tire, as do Bridgestone. The wrong tires are uncontrollable and dangerous.I once spent one hour driving 5 mph because the Michelins I had on would'nt grip the 1/4" of snow on the ground, put on the snows, nothing stopped me. The only day my car sat last winter was when we had a 30" drop of snow in 24 hrs, and the snow was above the front part of the hood. Ciao , Caveman Cam .

Bridgestone makes a great snow tire...but be prepaied to buy a new set each season...the compound they're made of is really soft-which is great for grip-but lame for durability

Michelin makes the best tires on the planet IMHO.

But as the old saying goes, they ain't cheap!
