celicamon - here's my response to your sway bar
question - there are different manufacturers of sway bars
- Suspension techniques, Adco, PaceSetter used to
make it for the '76-'77 Celicas if I recall correctly,
I think a few considerations should be made....one
is, when you purchase these sway bars from a
manufacturer, it is ideal to also purchase the springs from the
same manufacturer as these two suspension components
compliment each other. I use Suspension Techniques
front/rear sway bars and springs all around. I understand
from someone that this is the modern day Eibach, but I
have not verified this. Anyways, back then the front
bar ran about $90 and the rear was about $105. When I
was done I spent about $250-$300 to complete the sway
bar setup. My other brother's '83 Celica GT-S has a
fully adjustable Quickor Rear sway bar on his which is
an awesome setup. I also used polyurethane bushings
all-around. The shocks are bilstein - sport valved. New tires
(this is also a most important suspension component)
are 15 inch x 6 PanaSports. Dunlop SP9000s 215/50 for
15 inch rims. The brtand is really up to you - I use
mine for street/wheel to wheel road course racing.
If you are looking for Mikuni stuff - call Spruell
Motorsports but be prepared to know exactly what to ask for.
They deal with specific parts not car model, year,
etc....
Hope this helps..
El.
