I just bought an '82 Pickup with a 22r engine and I love it, runs great, shifts great, real smooth but my particular truck has no tach on it so I don't know what my rpm is doing, and ever abou 45 or 50 the wind over the truck is so loud that I can't hear the engine. Can anyone tell me what the RPM is doing, roughly, when in 5th gear. and also where should I go to get either an aftermarket tach or a new panel that has a tach. Thanks.

You should be able to get an aftermarket tach from your local auto parts store, over the internet, or even WalMart probably has them. Probably $20 and up.
