Hey,
I got a 96 Tacoma and I've been having a little fun off the road with it recently. However, it seems as though when I put it in four wheel drive that I am not getting all the power there that i should be. the front tires are yet to spin. I feel like their should be much more power and more abillity with the 4 wheel drive. for example i got stuck with the front wheels in a small ditch that i was trying to cross and the backs just spun (understandably) while the fronts sat in the ditch.

any ideas would be great

Thanks!

Are your front hubs locked in? My 96 has lockouts. When you shift into 4 wheel drive, it shows on the dash, even if the hubs aren`t locked in. I hope your fix is this easy.
