Hello everyone,

Looking to replace my 99 4Runner with a 4 door 4x4 Tacoma or Tundra, most likely used. Looks like these vehicles were overhauled in '05 and '07?

Can you tell me when the current Tacoma's 4.0L V6 and the Tundra's 4.7L V8 were put into the vehicles?

My 4Runner is rated to pull 5,000lbs however this is not realistic. My RV is at just under 5,000lbs and I go 40-45km/hr up any sort of hill. Need something with more pull.

How does the Tacoma's engine towing capacity go from 5000 to 6500 as an option with the same engine?
