My car has the Torque Convertor in it. Fortunate for me Swift Racing is less than 5 miles away! (Lucky Me!!!!) You will definitely feel the difference in take off, especially with the VSC turned off. Make sure you get QUALITY tires. I am running P7000s, which are ok, and not that expensive!

Lee

Lee,
As Justin had proposed, the torque convertor sounds like the soultion to my problems. If you dont mind can I ask you a few questions about your expirence with the convertor. When installed the price should range from what amount, if you dont mind how much did you pay? Just so I know in case they give me the run around. When you mentioned the VSC what is it? and does it affect any other components in my car when turned off. And for my final question, did it improve your car and was it worth it?

/thank you,
CJ gs400Betsy!

All together the price was about $1300. The TC costs about $900 (not including shipping), and then there is the labor, which is about 5 hours. I would keep my original TC just in case you need warranty work. I think someone told you about the VSC (Vehicle Skid Control), and what it does. You will definitely smoke your tires, so bank on getting some P7000s/PZero/Nittos. What I noticed is that you definitely get your neck jerked taking off, even when you have 3 other people in the car.
It doesn't effect any component of your GS.

Your drawbacks are: 1)BE CAREFUL WHEN IT RAINS/SNOWS!!!! Have you VSC on!!!! 2)You will be getting tires sooner 3) EVERY Z28, 5.0 will want to race you!!!

AND IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!!!

If you want to get the MAXIMUM performance with the less money, go with the TC.

Lee
