Hi everyone,
Posted a question last night totally wrong info. DUMMY ME, or as they say now, MY BAD.
Anyway my temp gauge stopped working and sit's on cold all the time now.
I was a tech for many year's and have alway's known the temp sending unit to be located near the t-stat housing. Well I went and bought the sender that control's the gauge and it look's way different than what is near the housing. The Beck/Arnley (#201-1220) I bought has a single spade plug and the connector near the t-stat housing has a 2-wired plug.
My question is an anyone tell me the correct location for the sender for my temp gauge.
It's a 02' Tacoma Prerunner, V/6-3.4 (5VZ-FE), Auto trans.
What is the possibility it is the gauge itself ?
Thank's ahead of time.

I have a 3VZ so I can't help you on the sensor location. (Mine is at the back of the engine, about as far away as you can get from the thermostat, just for reference.)

What you could have done instead of throwing a hissy fit is..
1) Drive down to your local Toyota dealer.
2) Ask them for a new sensor for your truck.
3) Have them show you the fich on their computer screen so you can see the location. Shoot, my dealer will ever print it out for me.
4) Walk away with the right part in your hand in less time it takes to post your question here.

How lazy can you get? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
I am glad to answer any question I can, but put some effort into trying to figure it out first.
