Yesterday I've been to a meet of the corolla people..It was held near by an import speed shop, Some korean dude showed up at the shop in a slammed to the ground black MKIV with 17's.<br>Popped the hood..turns out the car is a TT. LOTS of mods, huge exhaust, he claimed he got 500 hp at the wheels. Whoa. I know that's doable...scarry to think how much money he sunk into the car.

i am gonna have to disagree with the bearings statement. tt supras are known to be pretty much bullet proof up to around 550 then you have to be careful not to over load stock ignition and feul system they are built to be driven hard and on plenty of power from the start.

Actually, it's not as hard on the car and/or as expensive as you would think. For less than $2k (the Basic Performance Upgrade, which consists of a downpipe, boost cut controller, exhaust and manual or electronic boost controller)you can be putting down 390-420 rwhp on a MKIV tt. Visit www.mkiv.com, or www.supraforums.com, and you'll be amamzed at the number of 500+rwhp Supras out there that are daily driven. The stock fuel system has been shown to support up to 450rwhp very reliably(500 if you're real careful), and the drivetrains(both auto and manual) will hold this power with very little trouble. Of course, horsepower DOES cost money, (ie Saad Saad's 1000rwhp(!) daily driver), but for bang for the buck, there's no car better out there.
