(sorry, I've already ask my question in the introduction place)

Hello everybody!

I'm new here and I need advice : this morning my 95 Tercel did'nt start from my distance key ( sorry my english is just fair)

So I tried to start it normally and it did; but the "check" pilot still alighted. Now, in my owner manual, it say that I must bring the car to Toyota ( electrical problem possibly)

My question is : I know that my battery is very old and it really need to be replace (in fact I was supposed to buy a new one this week) so is it possible that the weak battery make the "check" pilot to appear?

I did plug the block heater for the fist time yesterday, I don't know if that is related.

Thank's for your future help
