Hello,

My name is Sharon and I have a 2001 Avalon. I bought it new from the dealership where I have my car serviced. This dealership has performed all the maintained on my car.

This past Saturday I went in for an oil change and to have my car inspected. The technician said my hoses needed replacing, my car needed to be aligned, two new tires, battery cables cleaned, air filter needed replacing. When I left I noticed my car was stalling and I had black smoke coming from my tail pipe. When I started my car in the mornings the garage was filled with black smoke. My car has never had this problem before. I took my car back last night for it to be checked out. They told me my car had too much oil in it. They said the caliber was broken on the part that put the oil in my car and that is what caused the stalling and black smoke coming from my car.

Can anyone tell me what kind of damage might have been done to my car engine by having too much oil placed in it?

Thank you.

Sharon
