Hi everyone,
I am currently looking to buy a car for around $5000. The 2001 Corolla is a pretty good example for me because it's great on gas and has pretty cheap insurance. I'm also looking at Honda Civics of the same year, but they are a bit too underpowered compared to the Corolla. I've also been looking at a 2004 Hyundai Elantra and I heard many great reviews for it. It's the most powerful and largest in size compared to the Corolla and Civic, but it doesn't get as good gas mileage.
I read some consumer reviews of a 2002 Corolla
here and
here and it's a bit worrying how it's so small on the inside and how it is uncomfortable and how it performs badly on the highway and in the rain.
Can some owners on here please comment on those reviews and elaborate on your own Corolla?
Also, can some owners please tell me how many RPMs the 4-speed auto does at 60 mph and 80 mph?
Thanks.
