Hi,

our timing belt warning lamp has just come on the dash as the van (2.4 TD Supercustom 1993)has reached 100000 Km. As the manual states this lamp will come on at 100000Km. When we bought the van, the timing belt was changed at 92000 Km so therefore doesn't need replaced now.
Any idea's on resetting the lamp??? besides taking the lamp out.

Thanks

Paul

I really have never heard of being able to reset without taking it out. It may be something simple, and are you sure there is not a short in a wire? I would google/froogle the problem!

Just out of interest what does the actual warning lamp look like, ie what symbol on the dash is used?

The only thing I know to do is take out the whole cluster of lights. Behind and to the side of the
speedometer, there's a small reset hole which is usually the timing belt warning light. YOu can
try resetting it.

Found the solution on my hiace power van 2.4d.... had to pull the dash out, quite simple, one screw to the top, pull the plastic trim from the bottom then just four screws to remove the actual dash... i just flipped it upside down leaving wiring attached, roughly in the centre of the back of the dash towards the bottom is a screw labled TB lamp, remove the scew which breaks a connection... turn on and start and the warning light should now dissapeer... now switch off ond put the screw in to the other hole beside.... put the dash back and all done!
