I have a 93 Lexus SC400 with Bridgestone RE71 225x55ZR16 on all four corners. The car just had a full four wheel alignment by a good shop. The struts appeared in good shape. The car has 50,000 miles on it and it appears to be in excellent shape. The problem is that at slow speeds, under 50 mph it seems to grab every line or groove in the road. It pulls and tracks on uneven surfaces. The tires are one year old and have about 8,000 miles on them. I just bought the car and I am not very happy about this tracking problem. I think that it is just the tires. Has anyone else out there had this problem? Randy

sounds like the tires to me...change them out with some Pirelli's and you be fine.

I think it is the tires, I have had two SC 400 1992,s and no problems like that. Rick

As do not have the primary message string - and as a Dunlop 245-50-16 user on my modified '92 SC400- if Q is balance, I use tape lead. If Q is as to tire - I have used Goodyear GS-C (Corvette) tires... I PREFER, to a GREAT degree, The Dunlop SP5000's...

Sorry If my forwards from the website led me astray!

Mike

The ZR rated tires will certainly pull more and cause more tracking problems on uneven surfaces but the problem is in the suspension. This is well known by those more familiar with the mechanical aspects of the SC 400 suspension. A different brand will probably help but going to a VR or HR will make the biggest difference and give you much more mileage. The michelin pilot series is superb as is the Bridgestone Potenza series VR and ZR.
