I cannot find ANYWHERE what the max tongue weight is for a 2007, V8 4Runner. My 4Runner is rated at 7,000 lbs for towing. A rule of thumb is 10% of the towing capacity is the tongue weight (700 lbs) - but my guess is the tongue weight would be something less than that.

Does anyone have more information?

Thanks!

The tongue weight for my 4Runner is listed on a data plate that is by the reciever hole for the hitch. I would tell you what mine is listed at but it's in the shop for a scheduled service. The weight should be listed somewhere on the equalizer hitch itself.

Most vehicles I have seer have a tongue weight of 500lbs. Usually listed on a plate/decal next to where the hitch mounts into the tube. The manual should specify it as well.

Found a link for ya!
