Hi all:

Just thought I'd report on the performance/mileage of my 2001 Super White after installing a Tornado Fuel Saver in combination with the previously installed K&N air filter. At this time, I'm experiencing way more TORQUE and HORSEPOWER with no noticeable loss/gain in fuel economy...yet. Only on 2nd tankful now. Air/fuel mixture computer seems to be adjusting. Will report as more data is available. FYI.

-Michael
CA "01 Prius"

Do you really feel that the Tornado Fuel Saver does anything? Was it hard to install? Looks too simple to do anything but I will keep an open mind about it.

Torque from the electric motor is way larger than that from the gas engine, so I just don't understand how an increase in gas engine torque would be noticeable.

Robert Snyder
NJ-PIKACHU

Hi Doca:

The Tornado acts like a poor man's air intake. Not hard to install, but it did take a bit of WD-40 to wedge it in the Prius. Yes, it is a simple concept for sure. I now have it installed on all 5 of my vehicles. So far, results best on Toyota Camry V-6. More HP noticed right away and mileage is up 3 mpg. On 2 Honda 4's (Accord and Civic), power is up. Mileage bettered by 1-2 mpg. On Mercury Grand Marquis V-8, power is up, mileage no change. But please remember, I also had K&N installed on all vehicles previously. The combo of both seems to give best results. FYI.

-Michael
CA "01 Prius"
