Hi...!!!
I'm Chris, new to this forum and I own a 1990 Toyota Corolla 1.3 XL.
The Chassis is in middle condition, as I knew before buying the car that it had crashed once and the whole engine bay is changed. Unfortuantely, my engineer was unable to make the engine run with injection, as it originally works, and he replaced the manifold with a carburetted... so he has made a lot of mistakes, many hoses are unconnected and the engine underruns... The econo-meter doesn't work I have all the power in the range of 2.500-4.000 rpm... And I know that it can rev much higher than that... Some months ago, I made a rebuilt to the engine, I changed piston rings and I ran it for 1.000 km with a bit overlifted valves... After I set the lift to the previous setting, I noticed that the car "eats" much more fuel than before. I've made several settings on the carb and the car still underruns, eating a lot of petrol... so I need a manual in order to fix my car to work properly even if with the carb...
