Hi guys,
Got my black gt4 last year. did not do any mods except for the turbo timer and custom made and fitted a header to remove the 1st cat on the front on the "advice" of me fren. Regret big time. Lost some low end torque but it keeps the engine cooler.
Car got broken into last month. Center console got totally ripped out just for the bloody HU. And then made the 2nd mistake. Took the "advice" of my mechanic, who also owns a caldina, to spray the trims silver instead of the ori alum blue. Now regret. The thing is the **** thief took my floor carpets as well. And now I'm carpetless. Check in the forum and 2 names came up. Wing Hin and Tom's. Would any1 know if they do sell floor carpets as well?
All been "advice" to put in a boost controller with boost meter to maintain the boost of the car.
Sound "advice" to follow?

Sorry to hear your story..those MF are really daring nowdays..
Anyway, where goes your alarm?..The alarm didn't make sound during the break-in meh? or did they disable it?..I think the standard alarm is not enough to deter those MF nowdays..pls share your experiance

cheers!!

Hey Davc (IMG:style_emoticons/default/57.gif)

I've got the black rsm installed on mine, my brother wanted to trade his blue rsm for my black cos he says it matches my colour, but i didnt wanna (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Well, I'm from muara, but currently living in gadong. My car's at my parent's place atm. I'm busy with work so I rarely take it out nowadays. Just parking lah. I've already got plans for it though...hehe, it's a secret for now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/harhar.gif) I've been thinking bout getting all the GT4s together but just havent got the time for any extra activities rite now. But I hope that we'll be able to do that something in the near future (IMG:style_emoticons/default/s12.gif) Well, gotta get back to work. tata for now.

Hi friends

I'm from M'sia, KL and should be getting a Cald. GT4 by next month. I'm looking at the GT4 version. I'm still not quite clear bout the specs between the N-Edition and the other normal one. Any information to enlighten me anyone ?

My budget's 150k for an unreg version but ofcourse... the cheaper the better. Got 1 which is 2003 unreg; N-edition ... going for 149k .... is that ok or can go lower ?

Partly due to my naive self thinking that this world is full of wonderful ppl that do not steal from fellow humans that lead me to just put in a 'el-cheapo' alarm to piggy back with the central locking on the key. Minimalist look with just the key, not even with a key chain.
Anyway, there were 3 of them, according to my 'takut' neighbour, 1 broke the passenger window and open the doors, 1 got in the driver side to pop the hood and 1 to cut the battery line. All this within a short time and i slept thru it like a baby. [Slapping myself for sleeping too much] The worst thing was not only those buggers took the HU, they even stole my daughter's baby car seat and ALL HER TOYS in my car inclusive of the carpet mats !!! What is this world coming to?
This time around got meself the works with a hood lock that locks the hood once the alarm is triggered.

Still nobody who can tell me where i can get carpet mats?

Wow...I feel for u guys. Cars getting broken and such...man if it happened to mine, i'd surely make em pay!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif) We have have any place in Brunei tat would supply carpets and such for the cald. I get everything I need direct from japan (if singapore doesnt have it either). I'm planning to get the carbon fibre hood for my cald sometime this year, plus a few other things. Budget's kinda tight right now. Hopefully soon lah...then I'll put up the new pics after it's done (IMG:style_emoticons/default/57.gif)

No need to apologise. Just have to come up with better ways to protect our cars. Whereabouts the TT would be held? If around PJ area should not be any problems.
As for the hood lock, as long as it deters those fellows from doing more damage, it's fine.

Been thinking of putting in a engine management system chip, e.g. Haltech. Would it be better option or the Apexi Neo AFC. Damm chun though the apexi.

5533,
Sounds like you had a great try out! I'm glad you like it. I've also heard about the engine problems but nothing specific until lately. Funny how once one person starts talking everyone else does as well.

For those who never sit inside Impreza,Evo or skyline cockpit, Caldina can be consider a mind blowing experiance.Such a great family car that u can also toy with.If you're talking about performance, nothing beats those true performance car I mention before.

Caldina GT4 is a mix of comfort for family (and also monther in-law friendly car:)) and performance (although not as strong as those pure Turbo's)..maintanence wise..nothing much if you dont mod like there is no tomorrow.Comparing it with Mitsubshi Airtrek for example, Caldina rules!!

Highly recomended for those who are trying their hands on a first turbo car.
