hi all caldina's fans,

i'm from KK sabah also, but currently stay in KL. i planning to get caldina GT4 N spec with white colour, did ask price about +-150K. Any special skill in related to engine ,body stucture and for search a recon car from local dealer. Did the car give u of any intermittent problem or hard to resolve weird issue? FC seem is normal for turbo car.. in normal driving way, how many RPM will direct trigger the turbo function of the car, or this car oledi design in full time turbo activated.

For u advise, thx in advance. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/liebe011.gif)

Hi,im new here and beginning to really like this awesome ride..
Thinking very serioulsy about purchasing a toyota caldina...

I would like to have some info about the daily running of the GT 4 caldina and
of course about the other engines as well..e.g the 1.8 liter and 2.0 [D4] liter engines..

what i am after is the small issues that you guys have had during your ownership of the caldina...
some info about fuel consumption as well would be highly appreciated..

thanks a lot and looking forward to some good inputs...

If you have an ST246, You should have a specific type of CT20B.

If I remember correctly, the Celica ST205 Manifold will bolt to your head, but the exhaust housing will need to be sourced. If you are upgrading the turbo then of course this doesnt matter, just bolt the Turbo to the ST205 Manifold!

The corresponding manifold in the MR2 series is the MR2 Turbo produced after 1994 (Generation III Engine)

Earlier manifolds might fit, BUT you need to count the number of holes. There are 9 and 7 bolt types for the Generation two, one of which (I think its the 9) WILL NOT fit your 4th Gen 3SGTE.

Rather annoyingly, It has been a while since I removed / checked my manifolds. I do have a few lying around but I have no idea where they are from, apart from the number of bolts [Which would not help me as I don't have a 4th gen engine lying around, although I do have two 2nd gens...]

Attention fellow people...Newbie ALERT!!! I'm in the process of getting a re-condition toyota caldina 2.0 gt4 turbo n-spec. Can anyone please explain to me all about the AP system... i heard nowadays re-con car dealers can change AP infos, is it true? example if i'm getting a 2004 model, is it possible for them to change it? meaning that they give me a 2003 model instead of a 2004 model ( assuming that it is a 2004 model) how in the blue hell am i suppose to know that i'm not getting con by this guys? how i can make sure thats the car that i want? any reliable source/authorities that i can go to make sure? like the customs or something? how can i check the car status? can these guys do such things? do i have to go to the port myself to make sure that i'm getting the car that i want with the specs that i want? how much really does a caldina 2.0 gt4 turbo year 04 cost? im getting 1 for rm158k+, mileage under 30k, is the price reasonable? another guy offers me rm170k+ same model, mileage & year, is it too expensive? why different dealers different prices? is the car worth every penny, in the long run? anyone have any problems with the car so far? Lastly any spec/info list on the car? say 0-100 in how many seconds?

please save me!!!
