I just wanted to publicly state how foolish I think Toyota is for planning to discontinue the Solara after the 08 version. I don't have any personal or family interest in the company, just a personal confusion over how such a stupid decision could be made by such a smart company. I must admit I have never seen a single ad or commercial for the Solara. It was almost as if Toyota was embarrassed to be selling it. Yet selling it they do. Mine has 72k miles on it in just over 3 years, and it has been fun to drive, great looking, economical, and dependable. Toyota has a car that can give Honda, Mazda ,and all the others a run for the money in the 2-door coupe family. Yet they are planning to discontinue it. DUMB. DUMB. Hopefully, someone in the hierarchy of the company reads these forums and might set in motion an update of the model, rather than a cancellation. There, I've said my piece. Safe driving all. Hy
