HERE'S THE PROPER WAY TO RESET THE LAMP:

1. Key off.

2 Press ODO reset button and hold, turn key to on, hold ODO button for ten seconds.

3. Release ODO reset button, press once and release within 3 seconds.

4. ODO will then read 10 or 15 depending if it's a 100,000km cambelt or 150,000km belt.

5. If 10 then press the odo button (on off) till it reads 20.

6. If 15 then press it until it reads 15 again.

7. Once it reads 15 or 20 press and hold ODO reset button until the ODO reads current km travelled.

8. Start engine and light will be out.

Mine was different again. I have a 1993 Super Custom Limited with digital dash and this is how i did it:

1) Take out dash
2) on back of dash there is a screw market T-Belt, and an empty hole next to it. Remove screw from t-belt hole and screw tightly into the second hole.
3) Turn the car on to IGN
4) The ODO area will display something like: "10 10"
5) Press the ODO/TRIP button to change it to: "10 20"
6) While IGN is still on, remove the screw and return it to it's original hole.
7) The dash should now be displaying the ODO, and the timing belt light will still be on.
8) Start the engine. The T-Belt light should go out.

I worked this out myself after the instructions on this page didn't work.

What do you do if you don't have a digital odometer?
