My Toyota Tercel 1987, Auto Transmition, 48000 miles, has a carburetor with a piston (stromberg type) and it seems to be water cool. When I start it in the mornings, starts ok but it starts missing until it reaches normal running temperature. It fouls spark plugs and consumes to much gas. Maybe needs to be rebuilt.

Where can I get repair parts like the piston etc?

Any suggestions?

Get a Weber replacement carb. Plug all vac lines but vacume advance. Hook elec choke to 12 v with key on and be done with it. Got mine on ebay with adapter kit and air filter for $350. Heard others have found them a little cheaper.
